Sarah Chang: Violinist for Italian Music

Sarah Chang, the Philadelphia-born violinist, will showcase the musical works of great Italian composers. She's won the starring role in 2010 winter festival of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. As part of her featured spot, Sarah Chang will play her violin and perform the "Four Seasons" by Vivaldi.

Italian composers have contributed very much to the history of symphonic music, even though Italian music is generally known for vocal opera music. The fact that Italy is not the typical country you would link to symphonic music, the Symphony Orchestra were delighted by the uniqueness of the event.

This month, the winter festival plans to tour seven stages of New Jersey. Its hoped that there will be as much enthusiasm and support for it as last year's festival, which centred on the theme of Parisian symphonic music.
