Italian Music Maestro Seriously Injured

Italian music maestro Riccardo Muti recently fainted during a rehearsal with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. This incident led to a broken jaw and other complications which require that the 69 year old must undergo surgery. He is also being tested to determine what caused him to faint in the first place.
This is the second time in the last year since he took over as music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra that he's been so ill he had to cancel a performance.
In October Muti flew home to Milan to be treated for severe stomach pain, where it was determined that the pain was due to acute physical exhaustion. Muti is reportedly in good spirits and alert in the hospital, while his scheduled performances this weekend are being led by replacement conductors as he recovers.
